photo: Howard Petrella, Portland Monthly's Bride and Groom, Spring 2010 issue cover
The previous issue of Portland Monthly's Bride and Groom magazine featured this lovely cover shot by Howard Petrella. It reminded me how much I love ribbon and how many places there are for it at a wedding.
No ribbon post on our blog would be complete without a mention of one of our favorite weddings EVER, Amber and William G. What do you think of their ribbon entryway? Photo courtesy Eric Cable. Setup by Geranium Lake Flowers.
Here's a fun twist on ribbons... horse show style! This is from a how-to post by Brittni of papernstitch , and the post originally appeared on 100 Layer Cake.
Finally, I had to include this incredible image shot by Elizabeth Messina of Kiss the Groom. I first saw this image in a slideshow during Sasha Souza's presentation at ISES Portland this past February. It appears in her book Signature Sasha, which I recommend you get for more great wedding inspiration. It stuck with me ever since and I knew I wanted to re-blog it. I just love this ribbon tableskirt, a fun alternative to the typical floor length linen. It is whimsical and ethereal at the same time.
Are you using ribbon touches at your wedding? A little or a lot? Tell us about it in the comments!
I love the dress.
