dancing!

The first dance at an Arabic wedding is called a zefa and includes all of the guests circling around the newly married couple. All of the guests are gathered waiting for the arrival of the bride and groom. As soon as they walk in, the dancing begins! At many Western weddings (this one took place in Portland, Oregon), the zefa is followed by a bride-and-groom-only slow first dance. Photo courtesy Impression Arts/Studio 98.
