Indoor Weddings

Outdoor weddings aren't the only option in Oregon. In the Portland area, we are lucky to have many gorgeous ballrooms, loft spaces, theaters, warehouses, and even some quirky locations like bank vaults where you can hold your indoor event and not worry one whit about the weather. We're including photos of churches and temples in this album as well. Sometimes, for a Portland wedding, only the ceremony or only the reception may be held indoors. We've also thrown in a few weddings we've done out of state, to keep things interesting!

postage alert!

This just in from our dear friend Alesia Zorn, Calligrapher (who sent us this newsflash via a beautifully calligraphed envelope):

"I want to make you aware of the upcoming rate changes so you can pass along the information to your clients who are planning to mail invitations in the next few months...

In Post Office Speak, 'nonmachinable' envelopes are the popular square envelopes or envelopes on which the address runs parallel to the short side of the envelope instead of the long side.  The changes take effect on May 12th.  We can be prepared for some unattractive stamps for a little while after that.  Until the post office catches up with OUR demands (and it is all about us, isn't it?) there are custom postage stamp sites such as zazzle.com and stamps.com which can satisfy our aesthetic postal requirements."

Thanks so much Alesia, for that heads up!  Those of you about to mail invitations for the summer weddings, please take note!

My name is Meg Ashworth and I am currently working on the marketing campaign for Susie Coelho's (of Surprise Gardner and Outer Spaces on HGTV) new book Style Your Dream Wedding. Susie is one of the forerunners in the makeover genre, and a leading expert in the lifestyle industry. She is the designer for Susie Coelho Style, a collection exclusively for Mervyn's, and Susie Coelho Outdoor, a collection of garden gloves and accesories.

I am sharing all of this with you because you are the creator of a strong and popular blog and you truly stand as a source of inspiration for couples planning their weddings.

I would love to send you a complimentary copy of Style Your Dream Wedding, in hopes that you would first enjoy the book, and secondly champion the message on your site and open up the channels of discussion. In addition, if you would like, we can send you banner ads or free copies of the book to give away on your site.

I would be happy to answer any questions as well as provide any details about the book and Coelho's message. Thank you for the time and if you would indeed enjoy a copy, please reply with your mailing address.

Sincerely,
Meg Ashworth

Outdoor weddings

  • Downtown Portland cocktail hour
Here are a few of the outdoor weddings EJP Events has had the pleasure to plan and coordinate. You'll see a wide range of wedding styles, from the casual backyard dinner dance to a simply elegant golf course wedding. Sometimes the ceremony is outdoors; sometimes the reception; and sometimes both. We hope you find lots of ideas and inspiration for your own outdoor wedding ceremony and reception. cover photo courtesy BMAC Photography.
