Indoor Weddings

Outdoor weddings aren't the only option in Oregon. In the Portland area, we are lucky to have many gorgeous ballrooms, loft spaces, theaters, warehouses, and even some quirky locations like bank vaults where you can hold your indoor event and not worry one whit about the weather. We're including photos of churches and temples in this album as well. Sometimes, for a Portland wedding, only the ceremony or only the reception may be held indoors. We've also thrown in a few weddings we've done out of state, to keep things interesting!

Super sparkling deals!

I can't pass up a great deal on champagne, can you?  If your wedding is coming up soon (or maybe even if not), and you're permitted to bring your own champagne, swing by the Laurelhurst Wild Oats for the wonderful price of $9.99 (normally $11-12) on Domaine Ste. Michelle Blanc de Blancs or Blanc de Noirs Washington State sparkling wine.  It's made in the traditional methode champenoise, so it's everything Champagne, except for the country of origin and the high price.  And you can feel good about supporting a local Northwest business!

Or if prosecco is more your thing, a fine version of this lovely Italian sparkling wine is available at Great Wine Buys for right around $12.99 last time I checked.

Enjoy and happy holidays!

** The Art of Weddings **

Has it really been over a month since our last post?  Wow.  Well, we have been busy, working on all of the new 2008 weddings that are coming up...and... it's wedding show season!  This year, we are participating in several, but the one I wanted to mention is coming up soon.

The Art of Weddings
promises to be a fun, swanky, and idea-filled show featuring some of Portland "best kept secrets" in the wedding world, from espresso catering to photography and more.  Even better, it's at the brand new Secret Society Ballroom (right above Toro Bravo, Willamette Week's "Restaurant of the Year 2007") and I'll clue you in to our not-so-secret theme... "big red party"!  You can even get your tickets online.  So, mark your calendar for Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 6-8pm, and I look forward to seeing you there!

Outdoor weddings

  • Downtown Portland cocktail hour
Here are a few of the outdoor weddings EJP Events has had the pleasure to plan and coordinate. You'll see a wide range of wedding styles, from the casual backyard dinner dance to a simply elegant golf course wedding. Sometimes the ceremony is outdoors; sometimes the reception; and sometimes both. We hope you find lots of ideas and inspiration for your own outdoor wedding ceremony and reception. cover photo courtesy BMAC Photography.
